DDR, MfS/Stasi Major service uniform + Gala jacket
Service uniform for an officer serving within the Ministerium für Staatssicherheit, the East German state security service and secret police. The shoulder boards indicate the rank of Major.
On the jackets left side is a 6-piece ribbon bar with medals for 5, 10, 15 & 20 years of loyal service aswell as Verdienstmedaillen in bronze and silver. On the jackets right side a general qualification clasp, 1st class. Traces of a former academy badge can also be seen.
The set also includes the Gesellschaftsuniform (Gala jacket) worn during festive occasions. The gala jackets carries shoulder boards with a matching Majors rank.
This rare set comes with uniform jacket, gala jacket, trousers, shirt, tie and visor cap.
Good condition with normal traces of wear!
