DDR, MfS/Stasi Major service uniform
Service uniform for an officer serving within the Ministerium für Staatssicherheit, the East German state security service and secret police. The shoulder boards indicate the rank of Major.
On the jackets left side is a 9-piece ribbon bar with medals for 5, 10, 15 & 20 years of loyal service, Verdienstmedaillen in bronze, silver & gold, Waffenbrüderschaftmedaille in silver and the Verdienstmedaille der DDR. On the jackets right side a general qualification clasp, 3rd class, aswell as a MfS 35 year anniversary badge (awarded in 1985).
This rare set comes with uniform jacket, trousers, shirt, tie, leather belt and visor cap.
Good condition with normal traces of wear!
