German WW2 Kriegsmarine EM's Dark blue pullover service shirt
Standard issue pullover service shirt.
A very nice example of the Blue “Jumper” Shirt worn by other ranks up to and including junior NCO’s.
Close fitting and intended to be tucked in to the trousers with a bloused effect, these shirts were made in a navy blue “Molton” cloth and intended for wear with the sailor’s dickie collar.
Each sleeve terminates with a pair of buttons to close the sleeve after donning and a cloth strap below the left side of the collar can be used to close the shirt if needed.
The 5 pointed star on the sleeve indicate that the sailor was a regular Seaman(Boatswain), the chevron indicate the rank, in this case Matrosenobergefreiter (Seaman 1st class).
Overall condition is very good with no moth or other damages. Some light wear from use.
