German WWI 6 x 24 ARMEE-TRIËDER Trench Binoculars by C.P. Goerz
A nice pair of 6 X 24 strength ARMEE-TRIËDER model binoculars, as indicated by the markings on the rear faces. These were made by C.P. GOERZ, BERLIN, a well-known optical and lens company, and this model name was officially trademarked, as indicated by the D.R.P. marking.
The barrels are covered in black leather, and the frame of brass is covered in a black finish. There is wear to the finish, especially on the edges, but these have not been abused.
Excellent optics in full working order, ready to display or use.
Note that that are some small damages to both of the eye pieces. This probably happened in field and is very common to see, it don't affect the optics and the edges are not sharp, they are worn smooth after long service.
These are not easy to find!
