German WW2 converted dress bayonet
This is started as a standard Wehrmacht dress bayonet. It once also had a nice etching which is now mostly gone.
At some time the finger guard was removed along with the scabbard frog holder.
The blade was sharpened.
It was most likely used as a last ditch combat knife or rifle bayonet(instead of a dress bayo).
As you can see the condition is no longer the best but it will always remain a cool conversation piece!
