Soviet KGB Major parade uniform (Obr. 69)
Model 1969 parade uniform of a Major (Майо́р) within the KGB, the security agency of the Soviet Union.
Tailor-made uniform jacket with cornflower blue piping. Traces of ribbon bar aswell as several screw back awards and badges, as is customary for such a high rank. All buttons are marked with the year 1977. No inside markings. Visor cap with older style cardboard visor. Markings are difficult to read, but appears to be manufactured in 1975.
Both jacket and trousers in very good condition with light traces of use. Visor cap in good but well used condition. The visor has come loose from its inner frame, but the outer seam and thus the appearance is not affected.
The set includes uniform jacket, trousers, visor cap and parade belt.
A very rare uniform with excellent patina! Not often seen for sale!
