DDR, MfS/Stasi Oberleutnant service uniform
Service uniform for an officer serving within the Ministerium für Staatssicherheit, the East German state security service and secret police. The shoulder boards indicate the rank of Oberleutnant.
On the jackets left side is a 4-piece ribbon bar with medals for 5 & 10 years of loyal service, Medaille für vorbildlichen Grenzdienst and a Verdienstmedaille in bronze. On the jackets right side a general qualification clasp, 3rd class, aswell as an officers graduation badge from the MfS Hochshule.
Older style "DDR"-marked visor cap manufactured in 1972.
This rare set comes with uniform jacket, trousers, shirt, tie and visor cap. (NOTE! Leather belt not included).
Good condition with normal traces of wear!
