US WWII M1 Bayonet with M7 fiberglass scabbard 1943-1944
A very nice WW2 veteran.
In mid-1943 a new bayonet was ordered with shorter blade of 10" length. It was identical to the WWII 1905 except for the 10" blade. A shorter M7 olive-drab metal/fiberglass scabbard came with it. A very few were dated 1943; the vast majority are undated. These bayonets were replaced by the 1905E1 version 1944-1946.
This one is undated as most are but nicely marked U.C for Utica Cutlery.
Scabbard is marked US M7 also with the logo of the manufacturer.
Bayonet has been used but remains in very good condition.
All parts in working condition. No missing parts or damages.
A rather hard to find bayonet.
