German Iron Cross first class 1870 - RARE!!!
One of the hardest crosses to find for sure. Only 1390 pcs were ever awarded!
These crosses exist with two different types of core, these are called A and B.
This is the B type core with a nice crows feet frame and a Lemcke style pin. Meaning that it could be produced by the company Louis Lemcke in Berlin.
Cross is excellent condition, no repairs or other damages.
These crosses are very very hard to find and right now we can't find another one for sale. For sure missing in most collections!
This cross was sourced by a friend with the help of two well recognized iron cross experts.
