German WW2 Pocket book "Nuremberg - the City of Nazi Party Days"
Under the motto "Get to Know Germany", Universum-Verlagsanstalt of Berlin Tempelhof in cooperation with German Tourist Authorities, published softcover pocket-size books called Deutschland Bildhefte containing photos of cities, regions and historic tourist sites in Nazi Germany.
This is a Sonderheft or Special Edition of Deutschland Bildheft, Nr. 234 called Nürnberg die Stadt der Reichsparteitage (Nuremberg - the City of Nazi Party Days).
The roughly 15 x 11 cm, 48 page book has a foreword by Nürnberg Lord Mayor Willy Liebl which is followed by 44 pages of full-page black & white photos of Adolf Hitler in Nürnberg during early Nazi Party Days, Horst Wessel in Nuremberg in 1929, Hitler addressing Nazi dignitaries and huge crowds during Reichsparteitage, SA formations at the Luitpoldhain surrounded by 80,000 cheering spectators, the Nazi Blood Flag, Brown Shirts marching across Adolf Hitler Square in Nuremberg, Dr. Joseph Goebbels giving an autograph to a young admirer, Hitler with Rudolf Hess and Willy Liebl, HJ bands, Hermann Göring surrounded by autograph seekers, the Hitler Youth tent camp, etc., etc
There is some soiling on the outside of the book, the inside remain in excellent condition. No missing pages.
We got this and all other items from a house cleaning in Germany some months ago. See last picture. Only the described item is included in the sale.
We can't tell if all are from the same person or not but the estate was in Bavaria and several items have a connection with München and Nürnberg.
