Sotainvalidien Veljesliitto (Disabled War Veterans' Association of Finland). The organization was founded on August 18, 1940, by Finnish veterans permanently injured during the Winter War (1939–1940).
Known among Finnish collectors as the "Mutteri" (the Nut) due to its distinct octagonal, nut-like shape.
The center circle reads SOTAINVALIDIEN VELJESLIITTO.
The outer ring features four hands holding broken swords (katkennut miekka), symbolizing the soldiers who were wounded/disabled in battle defending Finland.
Die-struck in solid bronze with a heavy screwback fastening nut on the reverse for attachment to a jacket or tunic.
