Circular bronze medal with eyelet and original wire loop for ribbon suspension; the face with a gilt cross pattée with lions of Finland between the arms and a central stylised rose; the reverse with an oak branch imposed on a sword, a rayed rising sun beyond and circumscribed ‘ISÄNMAAN HYVÄKSI’ (for the Good of the Fatherland) below.
