Finnish Civil war 1918 White guard(Skyddskåren) Kiikala armband

"Skyddskåren" translates to "White Guard" in English, and it refers to the Finnish White Guard, a paramilitary organization active in Finland from 1917.

The armband was made to the soldiers of the Kiikala White guard in 1918.

It was worn on the left arm during the civil war between the White and Red Guard 1918.

Soldiers of the White guard had a white and the soldiers in the Red Guard used a red as identification.

These are armbands are mostly found as just plain white or red.

Sometimes, like in this case, it has the city name.

A very hard to find armband in great condition. Some light soiling but no damages.

Last picture show similar in wear.

This is was a pretty interesting conflict that we think you should read more about.
