Based on the very low serial number (2148) and the early-variant SKOY stamping, this exact badge can be dated to the early to mid-1920s (roughly between 1922 and 1926).
While it was manufactured during the peaceful interwar period, it remained a valid military proficiency badge well into World War II. Members of the Civil Guard who earned their 3rd Class rank in the 1920s wore these exact bronze medals proudly on their uniforms during both the Winter War (1939–1940) and the Continuation War (1941–1944).
