Wound badge in black 1936-1939 'Legion Condor'.
This is the first model of the wound badge, often reffered to as 'Legion Condor'.
These were first issued during the spanish campaign 1936, thats why they are called 'Legion Condor' wound badges.
These early versions often have more of a black wash rather than a thick paint, similar to early WW1 wound badges.
The details stand out very well.
