SA Sports badge in bronze.
We got this and all other items from a house cleaning in Germany some months ago. See last picture. Only the described item is included in the sale.
We can't tell if all are from the same person or not but the estate was in Bavaria and several items have a connection with München and Nürnberg.
In our opinion this was the estate from a former SA member. Look at the early leather baton, these were often used by SA in the early Kampfzeit days.
The correct name for this badge is SA-Wehrabzeichen, but as you know commonly known the SA-Sportabzeichen.
This is the type 3 model, these were issued from January 19th 1939.
Very good condition, look better in hand than on the pictures.
Made of bronze washed brass.
Marked 'Sieper & Söhne' & "Eigentum der oberste SA Führung"
