HISTORY:
The Horse Driver badge was awarded not for 'driving' horses, but rather for proficiency in driving various horse drawn vehicles. The award was instituted in 1930 and was presented throughout the course of the III. Reich. The Horse Driver badges were awarded in relatively small numbers, making them a scarce decoration to find. Only 1,940 of the silver class were awarded between 1931 and 1942!
