German WW2 Kriegsmarine EM's Dark blue pullover service shirt

Standard issue pullover service shirt.

A very nice example of the Blue “Jumper” Shirt worn by other ranks up to and including junior NCO’s.

Close fitting and intended to be tucked in to the trousers with a bloused effect, these shirts were made in a navy blue “Molton” cloth and intended for wear with the sailor’s dickie collar.

Each sleeve terminates with a pair of buttons to close the sleeve after donning and a cloth strap below the left side of the collar can be used to close the shirt if needed.

The golden sleeve insignia indicate that the sailor was a Obermaschinenmaat (Senior engine...), the red insignia indicate that he was trained "Sonderausbildung Abzeichen für Motorenlehrgang II" which would translate to Motor Course, second step.

Also tagged on the inside. We are not 100% sure what this stands for.

Overall condition is very good with no moth or other damages. Some light wear from use.
