German WW2 Cholm campaign shield
Manufactured by Souval. This version was produced postwar along the 1957 version.
First picture is the most accurate, the other two are scanned and the colors are not 100% right.
Non magnetic, Made of buntmetal or similar.
Top quality.
All 4 prongs on the back remain intact.

Came with some other Souval made awards from a former worker at Souval.

The Cholm Campaign Shield was a sleeve shield of the Wehrmacht that was instituted on 1 July 1942. It was awarded to German soldiers who took part in the defense of the Soviet city of Cholm, which was surrounded by the Red Army in 1942. In total, approximately 5,500 awards were awarded.
