German WWI 98/05 Bayonet, Reichswehr Reissue, 1920
Original era manufacture.
A standard pattern Butcher bayonet which is marked on it's spine CROWN W 17, making it a Prussian issue bayonet.
Bayonet was manufactured 1917 but reissued and stamped 1920 when it was but back in service with Reichswehr units.
When they reissued these they blued the blade, pommel and guard and added the 1920 stamp.
Handle including the grip plate are in excellent condition, no damages. Beautiful condition.
Blade is really great with a near perfect finish.
Blade is maker marked F Koeller & Co, Ohligs, Solingen.
Scabbard is in good used condition with some dents and wear but still displays very nice.
A very hard to find bayonet.
