A well-preserved Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Officer’s overseas cap, constructed of field-grey-green wool.
The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side walls which gently slope toward the front.
The edge of the walls is fully trimmed by a length of fine gold bullion wire piping.
Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a field-grey rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered golden-yellow Wehrmacht eagle.
Directly below the eagle, the peak also features a machine-embroidered tri-colour cockade applied to a field-green rayon backer.
The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece grey-green cotton liner.
Cap is stamped on the inside, the stamp is quite weak so it's hard to read, but maybe with the right light it will be possible to determine what it says.
Overall condition is excellent. Cap show some normal wear but nothing major.
