German WW2 Wafffen-SS Officer's belt buckle
This buckle and a lot of other items arrived some weeks ago from Czech Republic. They come from the estate of an older man who collected various things and also was metal detecting. The ground dug items were found around the Prague area , as you know there was a lot of fighting there at the end of the war. Surely a lot of soldiers also fled and just buried or dropped their equipment.
This buckle is mid war production and made of zinc.
Despite that fact that it's a ground dug it's still in very good condition.
A bit hard to capture the details but it look good in hand and you can clearly see the eagle, swaz and the text.
The hook device is a bit corroded but working.
For any metal detector this is surely a dream find that rarely happen.
We saw a similar but in worse condition sold at Ratisbon for around 400 euros so we think our price is fully fair.
