DJ (Deutsches Jungvolk) Belt Buckle. Used condition.

Maker marked 'RZM UE 72' for Paul Cramer.

This maker used several markings over the years 'Unmarked -> RZM 59 -> RZM UE 72 -> RZM 72 -> RZM M4/44'.

This is a transitional belt buckle that we can date to 1933-1935, after 1935 the full RZM system was implemented.

There was a LOT of confusion when the RZM system was implemented and a lot of manufactures had problems knowing how to mark their products.

Depending on the product the prefix was different, for example M4 was buckles, M5 uniform accessories etc. The number after M4/XXX represented the maker but the maker didn't hold the same number for M4 or M5 etc.

Nickel silver version, non magnetic.

Excellent condition, show some natural patina and wear.

Very early high quality buckle.

Buckles from this maker is very hard to find.

Very nice leather belt. Fully worked. Maker marked on the back.
