Estonian WW2 Order of the White Star, 4-5th class
Excellent condition, no damages on the enamel or the metal parts.
This is a large medal, roughly 65 x 65 mm.
From around 1936-1945.
During the Soviet occupation after WW2 this award was forbidden.
Instituted in 1936. In silver gilt and enamels, a six point cross with points in each knee and additional crossed rays in each quadrant, the obverse center with a white enamel star, the reverse medallion inscribed 1936 X 7.
The Order of the White Star is bestowed on Estonian citizens to give recognition for services rendered in state public service or local government and on foreigners for services rendered to the Estonian state.
