England WW1 M 1913 bayonet by REMINGTON-USA
The M1907 and 1913 models are both similar with the exception that the M1907 was intended for the SMLE rifle and the M1913 for the P14 Rifle.
This particular bayonet was made in USA by the company Remington under British Army contract. Around 100 000 pcs were made so these are quite hard to find these days. Especially in this condition.
Bayonet is marked 1913 which is the model. 2 17 is the date of manufacturing(1917), below is the Remington factory stamp. On the other is British inspection marks.
The grips were manufactured with the grooves in WWI - presumably to better distinguish a P1913 bayonet from a P1907 as they are not interchangeable.
Overall condition is excellent plus.
Very nice scabbard, no damages, some very light wear.
Handle without any damages, excellent condition.
Blade is excellent, no damages, no sharpening.
Very nice standard green canvas frog.
