Very Rare Badge - 1968 - Tet Offensive
Showing Hue Citadel this badge of the North Vietnamese Army, Army Group 2 (Gioi 2 Quang Binh) - Quang Binh is the province directly north of the DMZ across the Ben Hai River from Quang Tri Province, Highway 9, Khe Sanh (and also home to the Quang Binh Cave System).
During the Tet Offensive of 1968 Army Group 2, Quang Binh stormed across the DMZ getting as far as Hue and breifly taking the city before been repelled by US Forces.
This attack, across the DMZ also earned them the name "2 World Soldiers" (Having fought on both sides of the DMZ).
