Japan WW2 leg wraps "Puttee"
Japanese WWII puttees (makikyahan) were long, woven olive green wool twill strips, typically measuring around 8 cm wide and nearly 2 m long.
Used by non-commissioned ranks, they wrapped around the lower leg from ankle to knee to prevent debris and moisture from entering boots, while offering protection and support. Used by for example IJA Combat troops
"Puttee" translates to bandage.
