British WW2 The King’s Badge ("For Loyal Service")

The Badge for Loyal Service was awarded during the Second World War to members of the British Armed Forces who had been honourably discharged after loyal and efficient service.

Often referred to as the King’s Badge, it was worn proudly by those who could no longer serve due to wounds, illness, or age, as a visible symbol of their dedication to their country.

It was worn on civilian clothing to prevent recipients from being mistaken for shirkers, featuring a crown over the "GRI" cipher.

Badge come it's original case which is normally hard to find since most were thrown away.

Badge diameter 25 mm.

Case 30 x 30 mm.

Overall excellent condition with some light patina. Look great in hand.
