Finnish WW2 Army Officers School Graduation badge

Worn by officers who have completed the official officer's exam. It is worn on the right breast pocket of the Finnish uniform tunic and is one of the most prestigious Finnish military qualification badges.

Maker marked 'VELJEKSET SUNDQVIST' on the nut and on the actual badge.

All soldiers who wish to have NCO rank or higher, must pass the NCO school, after graduation, they serve and train as squad leaders for conscript troops, or apply to the Reserve Officer School for further studies on the mid school. After service best of the corporals are promoted to the rank of sergeant or in extremely rare cases of superior deeds and service to the rank of staff sergeant ( few times in 100 years ), NCOs are said to be the backbone of soldiers, and regulars.
