Text on the front says:
"2. Deutsche Gepäckmarsch Meisterschaft badge 28.4.1935 SA Brigade 35 Leipzig"
Roughly 55.7 x 32.5 mm.
Horizontal pinback. Stamped bronze.
Excellent / near mint condition.
A VERY hard to find badge in wonderful condition and beautiful design.
A must have for any advanced tinnie collector.
A commemorative SA- (ie. 'Sturmabteilungen-') related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') as was specifically issued to commemorate an SA-gathering entitled the: '2. Deutsche Gepäckmarsch-Meisterschaft der Brigade 35 - Leipzig - 28.4.1935' It should be noted that all 'tinnies' that were intended to commemorate an event at regional- (ie. 'town'- ie. 'Bezirks'-) level (such as the piece on offer here) saw much more limited usage and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. Simply a very attractive, SA-related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen'.
