German WW2 Luftwaffe Leutnant's Sleeve Rank Insignia set
December 1935 insignia for garments that normally would not have any rank insignia such as protective flight suits and smocks came in a series of white “wings” and bars for the ranks of Unteroffizier through to the rank of Oberst and a series of golden yellow “wings” and bars for the ranks of Generalmajor through to Reichsmarschall. The December 1935 pattern of rank insignia remained in usage through-out the war.
This insignia consists of a grey-blue cotton base with a machine sewn in place, single cut-out white wool “wing” and bar indicating the rank of Leutnant.
Excellent unissed condition.
Note that this is a set of 2, both are included.
Note the size: each roughly 150 x 70 mm.
These are rather hard to find and would make an excellent addition in a display.
