The Organisation Todt was the civil and military engineering/construction organization of Nazi Germany, named after its founder, Dr. Fritz Todt.

OT was responsible for massive infrastructure and military engineering projects, such as the Autobahn network, the Westwall (Siegfried Line), submarine pens, and the Atlantic Wall.

Members and official personnel of the OT wore these armbands over their work clothes or uniforms to signify their official status and organizational affiliation while managing or carrying out construction operations across Germany and occupied territories.
