Infantry assault badge in Silver.
This type is never maker marked but was manufactured by Steinhauer & Lück.
Textbook version with the correct catch and hinge.
This is an earlier variant of the oval hinge S&L with the outlining of the former barrel hinge clearly visisble.
Excellent ++ condition with a near perfect silver finish. Would be rather hard to upgrade.
