German WW2 1939 Reichssieger Badge for the National Trades Competition
An impressive, high-grade original 1939 Reichssieger Badge (Reichssiegerabzeichen) awarded to national first-place winners of the 1939 Reichsberufswettkampf (National Trades Competition).
This prestigious award features a large gilt eagle perched atop the combined Hitler Youth and German Labour Front (DAF) cogwheel diamond emblem, set against a white enamel background with the text "REICHSSIEGER 1939".
Multi-piece construction in gilt tombac/bronze with white, red, and black enamel work.
Only around 500 of these were awarded each year so a very hard to find award.
Clearly marked on the reverse "G. BREHMER MARKNEUKIRCHEN", a renowned producer of political and youth award badges.
Good used condition, with intact, damage-free enamel. The gilt finish is worn but look quite nice.
Working hardware.
