Wound badge in black 1936-1939 'Legion Condor'.
This is the first model of the wound badge, often reffered to as 'Legion Condor'.
These were first issued during the spanish campaign 1936, thats why they are called 'Legion Condor' wound badges.
This is the non magnetic variant, made of brass.
Note that this is a much harder to find variant with oxidized finish instead of the common black painted, you can see the darker areas in the pebbled background and on the wreath, while the parts that stand out more have nothing left.
Excellent condition. Very nice details and finish. This is a really beautiful badge in hand.
