German WW2 Deutsche Arbeits Front - D.A.F. - "Musterbetrieb", exemplary factory banner / flag

This banner we received through a friend in UK who said it was a vet bring back.

These flags normally cost well over 2000 euros, still we are open for reasonably offers.

A seldom seen flag that rarely is for sale.

This is a so-called "Musterbetrieb Fahne", a banner which was flewn at model factories of the 3rd Reich.

Representing the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF), or German Labour Front, this flag was awarded as a significant symbol of outstanding production and worker excellence within Nazi Germany.

The flag features the typical insignia and symbolism associated with the DAF, including the cogwheel and swastika, underscoring the organization’s pivotal role in controlling and coordinating labor forces in the Third Reich. It would have been displayed prominently in factories and industrial plants that achieved exemplary standards in efficiency and production.

As a historical piece, this flag offers a vivid glimpse into the wartime industrial and socio-political landscape, reflecting the intense nationalistic and propagandistic efforts employed by the regime to motivate and reward labor dedication and productivity.

Roughly 140cm x 120cm, dual sided, multi-piece, rayon construction flag. Flag features a red base field with a central, fourteen toothed, golden yellow DAF cogwheel emblem with narrow inner and outer border trim encompassing a white circular field with central black canted swastika with black and white outer borders. Gold fringe.

It remains in good used condition. It show some wear and soiling. The attachment loops are cut, probably the vet just cut them off directly from the flag pole.

If you want a fully untouched original banner this is it!!
