German WW2 Luftwaffe Traditions Badge of the 1st. Fallschirm Korps in Italy
Produced in Italy by the G.Bregonzio factory in Milan in 1944 on behalf of the Oberkommando der Heeresgruppe C (the German military command on the Italian theatre of war) this is the Traditions badge of the 1st Fallschirmkorps led by Feldmarschall Albert Kesselring and intended to be worn as a cap device on the M43 Feldmutze. Last picture show Kesselring with this badge.
Measuring just 26mm x 16mm and made of silver washed brass(?) in the shape of a stylized parachute, it's enamelled with the German national colours and has the classic safety pin typical of the Italian badges of the time.
The badge is in very good undamaged condition.
It is accompanied by its original paper packet.
Maker marked G.Bregonzio from Milano.
