German WWI Royal Saxon Infantry Regt 104 Memorial Medal – "Ehret Die Toten"
A interwar German Saxon veteran commemorative medal for members of the 5th Royal Saxon Infantry Regiment "Crown Prince" No. 104 (I.R. / L.R. 104) who served in World War I.
Obverse displays a war memorial dome with "EHRET DIE TOTEN", meaning Honor the dead.
Reverse features King Friedrich August III's crowned monogram, a M16 helmet, broadsword, and unit identification.
The crossed swords indicate that it was manufactured by the famous company Meissen.
Fine terracotta / stoneware ceramic construction, typical of Saxon commemorative issues of the 1920s.
Diameter 42 mm.
Excellent condition with crisp relief detailing, smooth edges, and no chips or cracks.
