German WW2 1935 - W.H.W. - 1936 / Gau Magdeburg-Anhalt
A very nice and highly detailed Winterhilfswerk (WHW) fundraising stickpin from the 1935–1936 campaign, specifically issued for Gau Magdeburg-Anhalt.
The obverse features a striking deep blue center accented by a prominent national eagle clutching a swastika, surrounded by gold-toned raised lettering reading "1935 W.H.W. 1936 + GAU MAGDEBURG-ANHALT".
The outer border is finished in crisp white, giving the piece a distinct and elegant contrast.
The reverse features the original functional long twisted pin stem securely soldered to the backplate.
An excellent, honest example of Third Reich era charitable fundraising badges (Abzeichen), ideal for advanced WHW, regional Gau, or pin collection specialists.
Look so much better in hand.
A rather hard to find version!
